Shallow DOF with my HV30

I've always loved the look of a focus object with blurred background. It gives a film look effect. For video cams, in order to achieve that look, most people would buy a 35mm adapter and that costs like USD1200.00! Pretty crazy huh? Well, I dont have that kind of money to spend! haha.

There is however a technic, just to play around with. One can achieve shallow DOF look by zooming cam all the way in and focus on the object and shot with wide aperture, f/1.8 (the widest for HV30). The wider the aperture, the shorter the focal length, shallower DOF. Below are some pics taken with my HV30 in this manner.
