Japanese feast day
There were lots of variety. Sushi and its many ingredients, Soba Noodles, Red bean pancakes, Green Tea, Red bean soup, Peanut soup, and jelly.
We played some Nora Jones music as well as some Jap music. Cool. Then we listened to Cindy playing the keyboard, and I performed some magic tricks. I got great reactions... especially from Alison.... hehe.. she was totally disturbed and couldnt understand it. :P
Here are some pictures taken.
Below is Aiya cooking the soba noodles.
Taking the noodles out from the boiling pot of water then cooling them into a bowl of normal water..
The noodles were cooked to perfection. Mike topping it up with 6 ice cubes to chill the noodles.
Presentation of the noodles. The dip for the noodles was done separately. We used the soba sauce for the dip. One to one soba + water.
Cindy watching Aiya slicing up the beef.
Aiya fries the beef. Beef was marinated in Soy Sauce and Chinese Cooking wine.
Beef sprinkled on with sesame seeds for presentation.
